Ribbon Creations

I just got back from a long vacation and got inspired by ribbon! I created a yellow coneflower out of a styrofoam ball.

Supplies:

Styrofoam ball

Black ribbon cut into 4 inch strips

Straight pins

Yellow paper or neoprene

Cut the foam paper into petal shapes
Attach the foam with pins like the ribbon

4th of July

For the 4th of July be creative with table napkins and mini meringues!
Items needed: white chocolate, cup, plate, tooth picks, sprinkles (blue and red), & meringue made into stars (easy recipe on Martha Stuart blog or purchase pre-made.
After you bake meringues, decorate them with colors for the holiday.
Make a pattern on the meringue by melting white chocolate. Paint a thin layer on the meringue in a pattern.
 Pour sprinkles on top.

Use bandanas as napkins and fold into a spiral shape like a star.

A place card for guests.
Glue this ribbon on the top.
Cut out a star from red neoprene, felt, or paper. Any thicker material to give it a 3-D feel.

Sea Themed

I sketched a seahorse on card stock.

I used the embossing tool from PaperSource to color the seahorse white.                                                                                           Sequins = bubbles!

 Color it blue!

 Tea bag = sand

 Add flour

Glue the sand onto the card

New Project!

Today I made some cards out of tissue paper, sequins, and I used the embossing tool.
 Pick out tissue paper.

Cut multiple sheets of tissue paper into a wavelike pattern like this.
Glue the waves onto one another so it looks like one big wave.

Out of orange tissue paper I drew a fish and cut it out.
Glue the fish.

I added some sequins to the card!

Working with Tissue Paper

For this card get two colors of tissue paper.

Cut a couple of pieces into flowers (this does not have to be perfect!)
Once you cut it up crinkle the edges.
Glue all the petals onto themselves and put it on a card.
 Cut out a small square.
Crinkle it up so it looks like a tiny flower.
Glue as many of the tiny flower onto the card as you want!
This is the card! I added a "TO:" tag onto the card because it is being attached to a gift.

Summer Happy Birthday Cards

Today I started to play with a straw wrapper and decided to make that shape into a fun birthday card!

I chose some bright summer colors.
I cut out a strip out of heavy card stock (paper will work also).

This is how I folded the paper in order to get that pattern. An accordion fold but angled.

From Paper Source I bought the VersaMark and embossing powder to create a Happy Birthday stamp on the card (to hand write this will also work).
This tool I ran over the Happy Birthday stamped powder to make it stay
(take a class at Paper Source and they will help you!)

This is the final product! I added two small paper patterns to make it more interesting!
